Road vehicles subject to toll based on distance traveled are defined in a tariff adopted by a decree of the Council of Ministers

Charged road vehicles are divided in the following types:

  • Road vehicles for the carriage of goods with two or more axles having a total technically permissible maximum mass in composition with a trailer, of more than 3.5 tonnes

Heavy goods vehicle Heavy goods vehicle >3.5t and ≤12t
Heavy goods vehicle Heavy goods vehicle >12t 2-3 axles
Heavy goods vehicle Heavy goods vehicle >12t with 4 and more axles

  • Road vehicles for passenger transport with a total technically permissible maximum mass exceeding 3.5 t.

Bus Passenger vehicle for people carrying >12t

In addition to the weight characteristics, the number of axles or the emission category (EURO category) of the vehicle, the class of the road and the kilometers traveled are important To determine the amount of the toll due.
