TollPass EETS - Toll in Bulgaria and Europe

The TollPass EETS service has widest coverage for toll charging with a single on-board device. The countries into coverage are Bulgaria, Hungary, Austria, Germany, Belgium, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Switzerland, Danmark and Poland.

From September 17, 2021 the new service is active on TollPass.bg and enables the transport business in Bulgaria to use the European Electronic Tolling Service (EETS) for twelve countries, bridges and tunnels combined in one on-board unit from new generation. Bulgaria is one of the twelve European countries that have successfully implemented the service in compliance with Directive 520/2019 of the EU.

The new TollPass EETS service provides a much easier, faster and more convenient toll payment for Bulgaria and Europe. This is a cross-border service through one contract, one provider and one on-board device, reducing the administrative and operational costs of the transport companies.

EETS is a European initiative, with the main objective of the EU being to standardize toll collection methods.

EETS implements the European Union's mission for interoperability in the toll collection, which is regulated in Directive (EU) 2019/520 of the European Parliament and of the Council of the EU. It has been joined by twelve countries so far, including Bulgaria.

The new generation TollPass EUROBOX on-board unit supports the calculation of tolls for the countries that have adopted Directive (EU) 2019/520: Bulgaria, Hungary, Austria, Germany, Belgium, France, Italy , Spain, Portugal, Switzerland, Poland, Denmark as well as for the Belgian Liefkenshoek tunnel, the German tunnels (Warnow and Herren) and Scandinavian bridges Storebælt and Øresund. In 2023, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Slovenia will join the coverage of the service.

With the new TollPass EETS service of "Intelligent Traffic Systems" AD, Bulgarian transport companies can benefit from a certified on-board device of the latest generation, reporting road traffic tolls in European countries, as well as from numerous other services available on TollPass.bg such as online conclusion and management of contracts, reports on all toll transactions in Bulgaria and Europe, easy activation and deactivation of individual countries and toll areas, as well as service for refund of VAT and excise duties from European countries.

The service is available on the TollPass.bg portal for all new and existing customers who can easily change their existing equipment.
