BELGIUM
- In Belgium, heavy goods vehicles that are intended or used for road haulage with a gross combined weight of more than 3.5 tonnes are subject of toll payment.
- Busses and mobile homes are not subject to toll in Belgium.
- Toll charging system uses GNSS technology.
- The distance-based charging system applies to the three Belgian regions - Flanders, Wallonia, and Brussels.
- Tolls are charged for the use of all roads in Belgium, some of which are charged with zero fare.
Variable vehicle parameters to be declared by the on-board unit:
- The driver shall not change the vehicle data.

A separate invoice or toll report shall be issued for each Belgian region. For Brussels and Flanders, VAT is not applicable and the invoice is considered as a toll report. Vat of 21% applies to Wallonia.
The control of the lawful use of the toll road network and its correct payment in Belgium shall be carried out through control gantries, mixed checks, or mobile control teams.
