Scandinavian bridges
Toll Denmark - Scandinavian bridges Storebælt and Øresund
Denmark's toll service includes the Storebaelt and Oresund bridges. An "Eurovignette" must be paid for the usage of the national road network.
Storebaelt is part of the so-called Great Danish Ring and includes two bridges and a tunnel and connects Halskov in Zeeland in the east with Nyborg in Funen in the west. Oresund is a above- and underwater connection between Copenhagen (Denmark) and Malmö (Sweden) and consists of a bridge and a tunnel.
All types of vehicles must pay for the use of the facilities for each crossing, and the technology used is DSRC. Vehicles over 3.5 tonnes - trucks and buses - pay a toll based on the total length of the combination of towing vehicle and trailer, if attached.
TollPass customers using Storebaelt and Oresund via TollPass EUROBOX can register for a discount on both facilities:
- For Storebaelt - a "green discount" applies to vehicles with emission category EURO VI, or using electric propulsion or hydrogen and LNG fuel as the sole energy source;
- For Oresund - a discount is applied for the number of crossings calculated on an annual basis
Current toll rates can be found here: https://storebaelt.dk/en/prices-and-discounts/business/ and here https://www.oresundsbron.com/en/business/prices#row13 For toll Denmark VAT is applicable and amounts to 25%.
